Most usual fabrics for corsets are: corset satin, traditional corset brocades and corset lining.

The compositon of these fabrics are as follows:

corsetsatin: ca 53% viscose / ca 47% cotton.

traditional corset brocades: 100% cotton

corset lining: 100% cotton

The cleaning of the corset.

Corsets made of corset satin have to be dry cleaning only. The corsets made from traditional brocades can easily washed by hand in lukewarm water (40 degrees Celsius). Of course the soap must be not aggressive.

You can iron the corset when it is a little bit wet. Then it goes easier.
